New Gate Arrangements.

Wednesday 15th September 2021

Dear Parents,

Several parents have raised concerns regarding the congestion on the gate at drop off and pick up time. We share these concerns and will be making some changes to the arrival and dismissal procedures.

A new path is being installed which will allow children to use a gate which we have previously not been able to use. The new path will mean that children can access the school through two gates without having to cross the carpark. Further details will follow when the work has been carried out.

However, we feel we need to actions these concerns immediately. We will therefore be putting the following temporary arrangements in place from Monday 20th September.

Year 3 and 4 will enter via the carpark gate as they did last year. The gate will be open at 8.35am and 8.30am on Thursdays (due to the daily mile). The children will be dismissed at 3.25pm and will leave, with a parent, through the same carpark gate.

Year 5 and 6 will enter via the Foley Avenue pedestrian path gate as they did last year. The gate will open at 8.35am and 8.30am on Thursdays (due to the daily mile).

The children will be dismissed at 3.25pm and will leave with a parent through the same gate on the Foley Avenue path.

Siblings

If you have one child in lower school and one child in upper school, the upper school child will make their way to the playground and be dismissed via the carpark gate.

This change to procedures will ensure children are dismissed safely and social distancing can still be maintained.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs J Nash

Head of School
