The PFA are seeking a parent to take on this important role within the Parents and Friends Association. Our current Treasurer is due to leave at the end of the academic year. We are seeking a conscientious and dedicated parent to take on this important role. There will be the opportunity to shadow the current treasurer for the remainder of the academic year.
Details of the role are included below. If you feel that you would like to nominate yourself for this position please complete the form in the link by 26th February. The ballot will take place during week ending 3rd March 2023. Parents will be invited to vote for their representative.
Treasurer
Preferably someone with accountancy/bookkeeping knowledge, however someone organised and good with spreadsheets would be able to take on the role.
· Responsible for cash handling from events, reimbursement of expenses and banking of income
· Monitoring and recording income and expenditure
· Prepare floats for events and maintain petty cash
· Monitor and maintain licenses and insurance
· Brief financial position to each PFA meeting
· Producing accounts at year end, ensuring they are audited and Charities Commission information submitted on time
Commitment required:
· Prep for PFA meetings - approx. 1 hr per month
· Attend PFA meetings each month - approx. 1.5 hr per month
· Banking and general bookkeeping - approx. 2-3 hrs per event, more for Summer and Christmas Fayres
